Prevent Claim Denials: NY Providers Must Transition to Highmark-EDI by Sept. 30

  • WNY
  • NENY

For: Professional and Facility Providers

As previously communicated, electronic claim submissions for New York are transitioning away from Administrative Services of Kansas (ASK) effective Sept. 30, 2026.

As of Oct. 1, 2026, claims sent through ASK may be denied. To ensure uninterrupted claims processing and avoid potential denials and payment impacts, it is critical that your practice transitions from the ASK clearinghouse to Highmark-EDI for all electronic claims submissions.

Please notify your IT department and/or trading partner immediately to initiate this transition. They can find detailed instructions and support at our EDI Trading Partner Business Center for Western and Northeastern New York.

Why This Is Important

This transition is essential to maintain your ability to submit electronic claims to Highmark without interruption. Failure to complete this change by the deadline could result in the denial of your electronic claims.

We strongly encourage you to take action now to ensure a smooth transition.
