Credentialing Update: Transition to CertifyOS Portal Continues

For: Professional and Facility Providers

Highmark is streamlining the credentialing experience, making it easier and faster to reach the CertifyOS portal from the Provider Resource Center (PRC).

Organizational and professional providers in New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia will be able to benefit from this enhanced experience, starting Aug. 31, 2026.

Implementation for DE Providers Delayed

For Delaware providers, the move to the CertifyOS portal has been pushed to a later date to ensure a more seamless experience. Please continue to use the existing credentialing forms and links.

What is Changing for NY, PA, and WV Providers on Aug. 31

Instead of using the Initial Credentialing Prerequisites form on the PRC, professional providers will access the CertifyOS portal from Highmark’s Credentialing page, effective Aug. 31.

From the CertifyOS platform, both professional and organizational providers will:

  • Create an account using an email address and password
    • NOTE: Each provider added requires a unique email address
  • Add practitioners or facilities to their dashboard
  • Submit initial credentialing applications
  • Organizational Providers ONLY: Submit recredentialing applications
  • Track status in real time

Two Important Reminders

1. Request for Additional Information

CertifyOS is a separate company that performs provider credentialing services and will conduct outreach requesting additional information relevant to your credentialing or recredentialing case. To ensure your case is reviewed in a timely manner, if you receive a request for additional documents, we ask that you respond in a prompt manner.

2. Readiness to Bill Requirement

Credentialing approval does NOT equal readiness to bill. Providers must ensure contracting for credentialed networks like Medicare Advantage and commercial PPO/HMO is complete and execute all agreements before billing begins.

Final activation includes:

  • Fully executed contracts
  • Welcome letter with effective date of network participation
