Practice Performance Insights

Practice Performance Insights is a performance metric tool designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your practice's alignment with high-value care. It provides data in the areas of Quality, Appropriateness of Care, Documentation Quality and Cost Efficiency.

Starting July 27, 2026, Practice Performance Insights will be distributed quarterly and will provide you with valuable data on:

• Your practice’s performance relative to your peers, offering a clear benchmark.
• Specific metrics driving your performance, helping you pinpoint areas of strength and opportunity.
• Actionable insights and potential levers to enhance the quality of care you deliver.

Who Has Access?

Practice Performance Insights is available to providers with over 50 commercial and/or 50 Medicare Advantage attributed Highmark members.

Why Is This Important?

Practice Performance Insights is designed to support your success. Practices that consistently do not meet the performance thresholds relative to their peers may impact their eligibility to participate in Highmark’s high-performance network products.

Each year, Highmark will evaluate our network based on these metrics and communicate to you with any adjustments regarding your participation in these networks based on these insights.

Access Practice Performance Insights

The tool is available within the Provider Facing Analytics tool via Availity:

• Log into Availity 
• Select the applicable Highmark health plan under Payer Spaces.
• Choose Provider Facing Analytics from Applications.
• Click Value Insight Center or Specialist Performance Initiative depending on your specialty:
• Value Insight Center (PCPs)
  • Choose the Results tab from the top navigation bar
  • Click Practice Performance Insights

• Specialist Performance Initiative (Specialists)
  • Choose the Practice Performance Insights tab from the top navigation bar

Contact Us

There are two ways to contact us:

1. Submit a question via the Provider Portal:

• Log into Availity
• Select the applicable Highmark health plan under Payer Spaces.
• Choose Provider Facing Analytics from Applications.
• Click Value Insight Center or Specialist Performance Initiative depending on your specialty:
• Value Insight Center (PCPs)
  • Choose the Support tab from the top navigation bar
  • Submit an Assistance form.

• Specialist Performance Initiative (Specialists)
  • Choose the Resources tab from the top navigation bar
  • Click the VBR Assist Form link in the top righthand corner
