Highmark’s Virtual Physical Care program powered by Sword is a digital musculoskeletal (MSK) care program for joint or muscle pain or issues related to pelvic health. Sword Health’s mission is to free people from chronic, acute, and post-surgical pain and symptoms associated with pelvic floor disorders. 

Virtual Joint Health, Thrive by Sword

Virtual Joint Health, Thrive by Sword helps your patients manage their musculoskeletal (MSK) pain. 

Enrolled members receive:

• A “digital therapist” which includes a preloaded, secure tablet with the patient’s customized exercise program and 2-5 (depending on the body area) wearable sensors 
• The sensor-based “digital therapist” technology gives real-time feedback that’s more accurate than human eyes 
• The program applies to all major joints including lower back, shoulder, neck, elbow, hip, knee, ankle, and wrist

Virtual Pelvic Health, Bloom by Sword

Virtual Pelvic Health, Bloom by Sword helps your eligible Highmark patients with pelvic pain, bowel or bladder disorders, issues with intimacy well-being, pregnancy or postpartum, or menopause get relief from their symptoms.

Enrolled members receive:

• Virtual meeting with a licensed physical therapist (PT) who specializes in pelvic health conditions to design a custom program.
• After meeting with the PT, members will receive a Bloom kit which includes an insertable pressure-sensing pod.
• Members will be instructed to download the Sword app on their personal mobile device. Working together, the pressure-sensing pod and Sword app will provide biofeedback as the member does their exercises.
