Action Needed: Prepare for Non-Claims and Manual Payment Changes

For: Professional and Facility Providers

Beginning Feb. 1, 2027, we’re expanding our partnership with ECHO Health. ECHO already handles your claims payments, and they’ll now manage all non-claims, manual, and value-based reimbursement (VBR) payments.

Moving these payments to ECHO means you can track all your payments on a single dashboard using simple indicators for each payment type.

What’s Changing

ECHO will deliver non-claim payments to one electronic account — the same account where you receive your standard claims payments. We recommend checking with your practice’s billing or accounting team. They may need to update your accounting processes to prepare for this unified payment stream.

What You Need to Do

  • Confirm or change your bank account by Jan. 4, 2027, to ensure continuity in payments. If you have a bank account associated with your tax ID on file, we’ll pre-register you with an ECHO account. ECHO will notify you if there’s an issue setting up electronic payments.
  • If you’re currently receiving paper checks and you don’t have a bank account on file, you will receive your ECHO payments by paper check starting Feb. 1, 2027. To receive payments electronically, use the payment/draft information from an ECHO-issued check to set up an account at echohealthinc.com/provider.

Note: If you’re currently receiving paper checks and have an account on file, you’ll start receiving electronic payments Feb. 1, 2027.
