CPA: Choice Blue Going Away – Starting Jan. 1, 2027

Highmark is sunsetting the Choice Blue product, which is currently offered in nine counties in Central Pennsylvania (CPA), starting Jan. 1, 2027.

This change is part of our broader effort to streamline our Commercial product portfolio to reduce complexity, simplify product selection, and better align offerings to current market needs.

Do existing Choice Blue members need to take action now?

No, members do not need to take action today. Their current Choice Blue coverage remains active and unchanged until the employer group’s 2027 benefit renewal. Additional details should be shared with members as the renewal transition approaches.
