FitOn Health Helps Medicare Members Achieve Fitness Goals

Highmark Wholecare’s new collaboration with FitOn Health offers our Medicare Assured members more flexibility and additional wellness perks. Through this program, members receive credits, amounting to $80 per month, that they can use to purchase a variety of fitness programs at any gym they would like. FitOn also offers a wide range of healthy perks on their website without the use of any credits.

Boost Your CAHPS Scores and Your Patients' Health

Highmark Wholecare members will receive their Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys in early 2025. We have detailed some areas of focus and actionable tips to help your practice boost CAHPS scores and ultimately improve patient outcomes. And keep an eye out for more specific CAHPS resources in future 2025 Provider News emails!

Policy reminder

Medicare Parts A and B Cost-Sharing

Highmark Wholecare Medicare Assured members also have Medicaid (Medical Assistance) or receive some assistance from the state. As a reminder, these members should not be held liable for Medicare Parts A and B cost-sharing when the appropriate state Medicaid agency is liable. Providers must accept payment from Highmark Wholecare’s Medicare Assured Plans as payment in full or bill the appropriate State source. Balance billing a dual eligible is prohibited by Federal law.
