Introducing the Beginnings Box for New Mothers

To assist new mothers in caring for their newborns, Highmark Wholecare offers a complimentary Beginnings Box. This initiative aims to provide essential baby supplies directly to eligible members, easing some of the initial burdens of new parenthood.

What's Included in the Beginnings Box:

Diapers (Size 2, 2 packs)
Baby Wipes (2 packs)
Diaper cream (4 oz.)
Burp cloths (2 total)

Eligibility and How Members Can Obtain Their Box:

Highmark Wholecare members who gave birth in 2026 are eligible to receive a Beginnings Box. Members should contact Highmark Wholecare within 84 days of their baby's birth to request their box.

Members can easily request their Beginnings Box by calling us at 1-800-392-1147 (TTY: 711), Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. They should press 1, then 5, and ask for the MOM Matters program, specifically mentioning their interest in the Beginnings Box.

Comprehensive Support Beyond the Beginnings Box:

When members connect with Highmark Wholecare about their Beginnings Box, our team can also assist them with a range of other valuable benefits and services, designed to support their health journey and their baby's development:

Postpartum Care Incentives: Members can earn a $75 Goodness Reward for attending their postpartum visit.
Well-Baby Visit Incentives: We encourage consistent preventive care by offering a $50 Goodness Reward for members whose babies complete all six well-baby visits through 15 months of age.
Appointment Scheduling Assistance: Our team can help members schedule their baby’s well-baby visits.
Breastfeeding Support: Assistance with obtaining necessary breastfeeding supplies, including pumps and bags.
Social Determinants of Health Resources: Connecting members with vital resources for food, housing, and transportation.
