Highmark Wholecare is announcing an opportunity for providers to implement the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) approach within their practices. This program empowers you to proactively identify and address substance use disorders among your patients, improving their overall health and well-being while earning valuable continuing education (CE) credits.

What is SBIRT?

SBIRT is a public health approach designed to identify, counsel, and refer individuals with unhealthy substance use. It is a simple and effective process that can be integrated into routine medical care, while significantly impacting patient outcomes and improving provider efficiency.
