Updated Language Data for our Medicaid Population
Want to know more about the language profile of your service area? The Highmark Wholecare Quality Improvement and Health Equity Department and the Data Analytics team analyze data from several sources to understand the language preferences and cultural characteristics of our service area and membership, evaluating the cultural adequacy of our services. This information is also used to anticipate and plan for changes in the language services Highmark Wholecare provides to our population. We assess the population’s language profile at least annually, using direct reporting from the Department of Human Services (DHS), member health risk assessments, and Pennsylvania state census and community-level data.
