How to Help Patients Affected by Rite Aid Pharmacy Closures
As you may know, Rite Aid announced the closure of several pharmacy locations in early May due to Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The pharmacy chain has not provided specific dates, but they will be closing over 150 stores throughout the next few months that will no longer be available to Highmark Wholecare members. We understand that these closures may impact your patients and require adjustments to their pharmacy routines. Highmark Wholecare is committed to facilitating a smooth transition and minimizing any disruption to patient care.
We encourage you to proactively reach out to patients who utilize Rite Aid pharmacies that may be affected and discuss alternative pharmacy options in their area.
